Where are the real Film Makers? What happen to the Culture?

I believe that the film industry is dying, and the Hollywood movies have become redundant and easily assumed of how movies will turn out. What happen to movies having a culture of creative vision along with writing brilliant stories that pulled the audience out of their seats. I close by saying movies are now to socially driven, then actually being a creative film maker. What say you?
